ENDANGERED SPECIES
Acinonyx jubatus
FATRO "WILDLIFE" COLLECTION
It is the most elegant of the Felidae, known as the fastest animal on earth (over 100 km/hour). Once widespread in open, arid and semi-arid country throughout Africa and in some parts of Asia, it is becoming noticeably rarer, owing to being hunted for its fur and the destruction of its natural habitat. From 8,000 to 25,000 specimens still survive.
