ENDANGERED SPECIES
Aptenodytes forsteri
FATRO “WILDLIFE” COLLECTION
The emperor penguin is the largest of all the penguins, it may exceed one metre in height. It resists conditions of extreme cold and is even able to reproduce at a temperature of -50°C and with icy winds close to 200 km/hour.
Its habitat is seriously threatened by global warming which, with the melting of the great glaciers in the polar regions in which it lives, could cause a drastic decrease in the species.
