Since 1987, FATRO has supported the "MUSICA INSIEME" Foundation, one of the most important Italian concert enterprises, whose commitment to the field of the various aspects of musical production and organization is characterized by the vast range of its activities
The principal season is the "Concerti di Musica Insieme", for many years held at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and then, since 2003, at the Teatro Manzoni, after its inauguration as the new Bologna auditorium.
The "Concerti di Musica Insieme" is an international reference point today, as much for the artists as for operators in the field generally. Its programme not only regularly includes the most important artists, but also all those talents making their debut on the international scene. It is thus becoming the place where the various repertories, finding themselves very welcome, are closely and expertly examined.
Musica Insieme pays special attention to the dissemination and spread of musical culture and the education of public tastes.
They have produced many of these events over the years, expressly to educate those who did not usually go to concert halls and make these events accessible to these people. More specifically: "Musica Insieme in Ateneo", a concert season organized since 1997 jointly with the University of Bologna and directed principally at students; "Musica per le Scuole" (Music for Schools), a series of concerts for middle school pupils, each prepared as a lesson-conference at schools; and "MICO-Musica Insieme Contemporanea, a review dedicated to the music of our days, the concerts are introduced by meetings with the authors and with the artists in the program.
